Hon. Princess Pauline Zegeor is a woman of many parts. She is at once a public servant, a politician and a respected community leader.

She was born on March 17, 1955 at Ikov in Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State. She began her early education at L.G.E.A. Primary School, Ichol in Kwande Local Government Area of the same state in 1960. She spent three years at the school. From 1964 to 1966, she was at Uavande Girls Primary School, Konshisha where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate.

While at Uavande Primary School, she was the House Prefect. She enrolled at Bristow Secondary School, Gboko in 1967 and earned the Senior Secondary School Certificate in 1971. At Bristow Secondary School, she was Sports Captain, Vice President, Photographic Club and Secretary General, Young Farmers Club.

Between 1973 and 1975, she attended Pivotal College, Jos where she had her Grade II Teacher Certificate. Between 1977 and 1981 she obtained the Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Business Management from the Murtala College of Arts, Science and Technology, Ugbokolo. In 2005, she was admitted into Benue State University, Makurdi for a Post Graduate Diploma in Management which she got in 2006.

She taught between 1975 and 1977. She had her mandatory National Youth Service at UTC, Makurdi from 1981 to 1982. From 1982 to 1984, she worked with the Bureau of Lands and Survey, Markurdi. While at the bureau, she worked as Officer-in-Charge of Revenue and as Deeds Registrar.

A seasoned administrator, she was a transition member of Ushongo Local Government, Lessel between 2003 and 2004. Due to her performance as a transition member and her contributions while in that capacity, she was elected as councilor, Ushongo Legislative House, Lessel in 2004. She later became the Caretaker Chairman of Ushongo Local Government.

Hon. Zegeor has attended several workshops and conferences. She has attended Management Development Course on Skills Acquisition, Capacity Building and Empowerment, Effective Administration of Local Government Legislative Council, and Increasing Women’s Participation in Governance and Politics. She was the Vice President of Club de Patriot, Gboko Branch; President, Female Supervisors/Elected Councillors, Benue State and Deputy Chairman, ALGON, Benue State Chapter.

It was in acknowledgement of her contribution to national development in the field of Governance and Leadership that Hon. Princess Pauline Zegeor was conferred with the PSR Woman of Merit Gold Award in 2006.

She is married with children. She has visited countries like Britain, Holland and South Africa. Her hobbies are reading, farming and listening to Christian music.
