Mrs. Fasilat Temitope Koko is an accomplished nurse who has devoted a great part of her life to the care of the sick. She rose to become Assistant Director of Nursing Services at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, Ogun State.
. Fasilat was born into the family of Adeniji of Abeokuta, Ogun State on July 7, 1956. She is the first-born and the only daughter of the family.
She had her primary school education at Shamsudeen Islamic Primary School, Surulere, Lagos between 1961 and 1969. After her primary education, she proceeded to Muslim Girls High School, Ijebu-Ode in 1971. She was the Senior Prefect at Muslim Girls High School and she passed out with a Grade II in the West African School Certificate Examination.
She worked briefly at the Federal Office at Statistics, Lagos as a Clerical Officer before proceeding to the School of Nursing, Eleyele, Ibadan in 1975. In 1980, she enrolled at the School of Midwifery, Ijebu-Ode, passing out in 1981.
She had worked in various government owned hospitals in Ogun State before joining the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu (now Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital ) at inception in 1986.
She went to the University of Benin to obtain a Diploma in Nursing and Management Administration in 1996. She obtained a distinction at the end of the course.To update herself, she attended many seminars and workshops.
It was in acknowledgement of her contribution to national development in the field of Nursing that Mrs. Fasilat Koko was conferred with the PSR Woman of Merit Gold Award .
She got married to an Ijebu man 38 years ago and the marriage is blessed with children. She is a devout Christian ,She loves dancing,singing,reading and travelling as pastimes,
